The Excel Center's intensive outpatient program offers treatment for emotional, behavioral, and/or chemical dependency problems.

Treatment team meetings are held weekly with clinicians from all the different disciplines involved in the treatment of the patient. As the leader of the team, the psychiatrist is also heavily involved.

Treatment is five days a week from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Intensive outpatient includes:

• Group therapy, including process groups, skills groups, nursing and recreational groups
• Multi-family group therapy
• Our charter school, which is accredited by the Texas Education Agency, keeping the patient's curriculum current
• Medication management with the psychiatrist at least once per week
• Phone consultation with therapist and nurse
• Clinical case management
• Aftercare group for one year following treatment
